YMCA OF GREATER TORONTO

Blend Photography was asked to assist the YMCA of Greater Toronto with their Megathon event/campaign. Blend photographed a series of Members over a 5 day period at the Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, Oshawa, Toronto Central, Cooper Koo, Scarborough, Shepard, and the West End locations. Our sister company Blend Creative Studio then implemented the photography into their marketing material.

Every year all nine YMCA Health Centres within the GTA region take part in a fundraising event “Megathon” where centre members sign up to participate and create a challenge to complete. Some challenges have included running on a treadmill for 12 hours, swimming laps for a day, martial arts, etc… All funds are used to support children, teens and adults in the GTA region. Participants are referred to as Champions.

Blend was welcomed with open arms into the Centres and by the Champions. Their energy and enthusiasm could have powered all of Toronto and we were humbled and inspired by the Members, Champions and staff. And amazed by their determination (12 hours on a treadmill!) Together they raised over $475,000!
